For this shoot, I placed objects in water and captured the movement of the water as well as the colour of the water and all including cosmetic products and a possible advert/promotion for the product.

These are my favourite 4 edited photos:

In this photo, originally the photo was very light and the colours did not fit well, the product was different to the colour of the water however I wanted them to blend better together and the water almost to mirror the dark colour of the bottle of product, and so I edited this photo on Lightroom and made the overall photo darker. I am happy with the outcome of this photo because of the way the colours have come out and how the water is rippled on the product. A different way that I could've edited it was to practically edit it and add water droplets to the photo to add an extra layer of dimension to the water and the photo.

This is a favourite of mine as I love how the colours bounce off each other and have similar darkness to each other alongside the lightness of the water that was moving. I rippled the water to get the effect that the product was surrounded by waves. Although the background is carpet, I feel like it works really well because if I were to add white paper to the bottom I think it would ruin the colour of the water and make it lighter and take away that nice dark blue colour that fits in very well with the product colour. However, I also used Photoshop to duplicate the product so it appeared more than once in the frame, at different angles, which you can see in the second image.

For this edit, I started off by adding a gradient to the background, completely removing the paper you see in the original, but, it did not quite look how I wanted it to, and so I removed the gradient that covered the whole background and decided to add a rainbow gradient to add more colour to the photo. I think that this adds a new perspective onto the photo as I had to overlay the mirror and product and this makes the product look like it is floating or higher than the soap in the corner of the photo. I thought id take my own approach to this photo as it is not really in the style of Rich Begany, but I still like the outcome of this photo.

For the final edit, I decided to again, repeat the product throughout the water, however different sizes but not different directions and facing each other. I really like this edit as it fills up the empty space of the background as I feel like although the ripple in the water looks good, there is a lot of empty space in the photo, and so this edit takes up a lot of the blankness and adds something to the photo. it also allows the product to be shown more than once and promoted several different times, and you can still see the water and the light reflections in the background so overall, I am very happy with the outcome of this image.
